“Jericho,” the post-apocalyptic series CBS canceled, then revived, then canceled again, will start airing Sundays on The CW.

The Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibbard reported that The CW has dropped the Sunday night schedule programmed by Media Rights Capital after it was late with payments, according to CW COO John D. Maatta. The schedule has suffered abysmal ratings in its brief turn on the CW.

MRC, however, claims it is still in negotiations with the CW about how to address the Sunday night block’s ratings situation.

Maatta said the CW’s new block of programming will include repeats of “Everyone Hates Chris” and “The Game,” beginning with first-season episodes of both. Next will be “The Drew Carey Show,” beginning with season 2, and “Jericho,” beginning with season 1. A movie would follow.

So, Jericho fans, it’s not exactly like having your show back, but it’s something. And I hear CW President Dawn Ostroff loves peanuts…*

*Okay, I totally made that part up.
