I meant to start writing about Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles a couple weeks ago. But just like joining Procrastinators Anonymous, I just didn’t get around to it.
The Good
Three weeks ago, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles came back from its winter hiatus with a vengeance. The episode was titled “The Good Wound” and it was [...]
I just realized I never posted my review on this week’s episode. I wrote it, but forgot to post!
Sarah meets up with UFO buffs while trying to track the three dots. Much of that storyline was interesting but ho-hum, even with the shooting. And I pegged that woman as a dude [...]
In a unique presentation, this episode was presented with absolutely no Connors. And I found it to be one of the best of the season.
The episode once again uses flashbacks to Derek’s future that he already lived, intertwined with a situation in the present dealing with someone Skynet wanted dead, and flashbacks to the [...]
I didn’t have much time for blogging last week, and here we are ready to go again with a new week of shows. So I’ll review all my assigned programs in one fell swoop! Keep reading for insight into last week’s Chuck, Terminator, and My Own Worst Enemy.
Alas, we have piled up three [...]
The title of this episode refers to an ancient game called “Go,” which Cameron learns about through interaction with another AI genius. She says it means the usual rules don’t always apply. In this episode, everyone sure seems to try to make them.
Riley
In perhaps the most intriguing thread, Riley turns out to be [...]

Finally, we get a hint that things done in the present can change the future. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be in a good way.
Once again, we have multiple threads of story, with a little less intertwining than we had before, and none of the artful editing with “X’s story.” The art wasn’t necessary this [...]

Take a pretty basic storyline, break it into pieces marked by the point of view of each different person involved, and edge it with a few intriguing references, and you’ve got a pretty damned good episode.
The main storyline doesn’t have much meat to it. John gets stupid and brings Cromartie after him, putting Riley [...]

I’m late this week writing this review not because I was slow to watch it (watched it Tuesday night, actually, which is quick for us!) but because I don’t know what to say about it. In fact, I have so little comment, I don’t think I’ll even need a cut to hide spoilers.
I love [...]
When I compare this week’s episode of Terminator to last week’s in terms of story and pacing and character interaction and even product placement, I have to give last week’s a slight edge overall. But when I consider my response to each episode, somehow, this one wins hands down.
I’m not sure exactly what it [...]

What’s In, What’s Out?
News came yesterday that Fox has renewed Dollhouse but canceled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Fox executives are saying it wasn’t an “either or” decision, but that Terminator:TSCC’s ratings fell off a bit towards the end despite Fox’s “support and some consistent scheduling.” (Source) I have to ask how is Friday night at 8:00 a [...]
