Geez Louise, have we ever had a body count this high in a single episode before?
Can you tell I’m just not that into this show? I’m not sure why. There are characters I love, but they aren’t ones I need to see every week. I started watching the show because I love Raelle Tucker, and the two scripts she wrote last year (”Cold Ground” and the season finale) were the best shows of the season. Perhaps I just don’t have an affinity for vampires.
I enjoy Bill for his old Southern gentlemanliness. His speech to Sookie about her awakening something in him was positively dreamy. And he tries so hard to fight against his vampire nature. It’s sweet. I love Sookie Stackhouse. She’s sweet and somewhat naive, but also wise and caring. I wish I could always say the right thing, like she tends to do.
Ah, the cheap dives where Sam and Dean rest their weary heads each week; usually not garnering so much as a single batted eyelash from the guys. They’ve been as ever-present as the Impala. And to think, there was barely even a motel in the pilot! Ranking these was decidedly difficult, and I had three extra that I couldn’t possibly leave out, so we have some honorable mentions on this list. Note: these are all places Sam and Dean “paid” to stay, so you won’t find Bobby’s place or any run-down abandoned houses here, regardless of any awesomeness they might possess. Shall we begin?
There are only three episodes left, and the next few kills are likely to be painful. The show is almost out of ancillary characters we don’t care that much about and will have to start killing off more central characters soon.

Supes, suckers, and slayers, oh my!
After three seasons (or ’series’ as they call them in the UK), Primeval has been canceled by ITV. Read the full article in The Guardian here.
According to this episode, I guessed right about a whole bunch of things. Since that almost never happens, excuse me while I gloat quietly for a moment………………………………………………………………..All done. On with the post.
Season 2 begins! Two key items revealed: Bill recycles. Eric highlights his hair. Ha! And Todd Lowe, who plays Terry Bellefleur, the shell-shocked Army vet who wears a petrified alligator penis around his neck, is in the opening credits. Yay!
With Friday the 13th (2009) being released on DVD and Blu-ray tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16th, let’s revisit Suzanne’s review of the movie. If you’re new to Sci Fi Chicks, or you simply missed her review the first time, be sure to check it out. Suzanne’s reviews always include her patented sense of humor. Here’s part of her review:
In Part Two of “Horror Hiatus Projects of Supernatural Stars,” it’s now Jared Padalecki’s turn to show us his non-Winchester side on the big screen. There’s more sex than the average Supernatural episode(hell, there’s more sex than the average Supernatural season), but the blood and gore is comparable, if not tamer. Padalecki plays Clay Miller, a young man looking for his missing sister(Amanda Righetti), who was last seen in the vicinity of Camp Crystal Lake, camping with friends. He’s carrying a crapload of guilt along with his backpack as he combs the countryside on his motorcycle, passing out flyers. You see, he ditched his family at seventeen, leaving his younger sister to care for their cancer-ridden mother, and when they last spoke six months ago, they argued. And this is the nice guy in the flick.
There’s all sorts of versions of the movie: theatrical release, extended “Killer Cut” (does “Killer” equal “Director’s Cut”?), and a version with both the Killer Cut and theatrical movie. Not only that, Paramount is re-releasing the entire Friday the 13th franchise on DVD and Blu-ray. Wow, that ought to keep you busy for the rest of the summer!
And if you’d like to round out your Supernatural stars movie viewing, My Bloody Valentine (both 3D and 2D) is also available on DVD and Blu-ray. And you can read Suzanne’s review of that movie, too.
Fangirl Says has news of the very first Supernatural Season Five spoiler, and it’s all about casting. If you’re attempting to stay spoiler-free, go no further. You have been warned. If you don’t care, and want to lap up spoilers in this drought-like hiatus, follow the cut.
